I formally issued the challenge this morning. I'll be counting on at least three of you showing up by 10PM eastern Friday night. Maybe I'll set up a skype call (and a private slhb chat for the skypeless rockinrollers - megatron, got skype?) so we can scheme about who plays what for maximum scoreness.

It sounds like the ideal lineup would be:
megatron, guitar
daemonknight, bass
rockinrollers, vox (if you can FC all 5 on vox you've got my plat vox wife beat, even. She was worried about a couple of phrases).
Can all you guys show up on rb and in chat or skype by 10PM eastern Friday? I'd like to get together a little early if possible and debug any connection issues or instruments not being able to hear each other before we go for it for real. And we can practice on some of the 45 DLC the 4 of us have in common

San Diego where Top Gun was filmed is my home town. I've been to Mira Mar several times for airshows. I've also been to the restaurant that was the pilots hangout. It is WAY smaller in person. I don't know how they made it look so big in the movie.

Geez! That is a fierce line up! I don't think you would beat SLHB with that line up, it would be more like annihilate. We need to even things up!

Thanks for the kind words but you're being a little too generous, still got way too many holes in my swing. I think I've GS'd those songs but the beginning of WhiteWedding & the end solo of Round & Round still give me trouble. Plus, Angie's as good a guitarist as there is so I'll definately be looking for a little help from my freinds.

I'll be on tonight at some point, would like to run through those songs & get some practice in, will send out invites to anyone & everyone.

Hey Pubknight-- I'm sure you will love RB jams on PS3. I fortunately was able to hold on to the Wii when I acquired the xbox, but I do love jamming on the xbox and not having to worry about switching out SD cards

-- Fierce line up indeed! No offense taken- and I like healthy trash talk prior to battle! Great battle too, the songs are not impossibly hard to play, so it should be a good match. I do hope however that you all will be able to play earlier than 10 pm. You know the little ones in SLHB need their beauty rest. LOL
(Actually, since the contest is on the xbox system, Nikki is the youngest back up singer at 12, Claire, Savannah and JusAGurl are all in their 20s -- one day soon, they will be joining us on this thread. )

Angie wanted to be a free agent a while back and share her guitar awesomeness with the world. So SLHB's main guitarist on the xbox is JusAGurl, don't worry, she's just a girl

Finally, thanks Chuck for not making us scramble at the last minute to try to better our last score on the last Battle. It was a fun event. I hope we have many more!

Great battle too, the songs are not impossibly hard to play, so it should be a good match.

I considered the Hardcore Guitar & Drum Solo Challenge, but
1) It already started and ends a little too soon for my taste.
2) I didn't want to have to drop back to Hard this time and there's no way I'm passing Painkiller (and probably not Spoonman or The Trees) on Expert at this stage of my development.
