As an old guy (44) with wife and two kids, it is nice to know I am not the only one in the over thirty crowd. I just picked up RB3 and have been playing on hard for Guitar and Bass. Seems like I keep playing online with the younger crowd. Anyone else out there playing RB3? If so, where is the friend code for the game?
You need to exchange Wii console codes in order to become RB3 friends. Go to messaging, then Address book, from the Wii Main Menu and you'll see your own console code.
Added RobotMom and I will add Lexy next time I am on.
Another option for group communication is HoneyBee's chatroom, especially if we can get an OMB breakout chat. HB's chat requires a login, but you can use your facebook account. The link to HB's chat is here:

Thanks. I'll check for the code and add it to my next post.

The good:
SDHC support for DLC and ability to import/download most of the RB2 ondisk songs (cost=$10).
Separate menu pulldowns for each player; you can change difficulty between tracks.
In an online band, EVERYONE can issue invites to their friends.
Every players track can have its own speed (it's an option).
The bad:
Crazy flashing/strobing/kaleidoscopic background during online play.
The game is picky about where in the menus you have to be to have your invites accepted.
Can only see your online bandmate's avatars briefly before the song.
You never see the character names of your online bandmates avatars.
No more bands, where I can play in your band, and you can play in mine, etc.
On wii, there are occasional USB resets where all the dongles lose power, only recovery method is wii reset button. Usually happens mid song, for me. I've had it happen 3 times in one hour, other times I can go for 3 hours without it occuring... don't understand why.
The ugly:
Song selection in online quickplay is different, everyone can add songs and delete songs, free-for-all style. You can add a song multiple times. The leader holds down the green key to start the set. The ability to find a set of randoms to play with is very limited, I've rarely found people looking for random players. While RB2's method had its problems, I'm not sure the RB3 way is better.
Hope to find you online and wade through some WHO DLC.

OK. I think I finally have it together. My RB3 console # is in the sig line. Feel free to add me to your friends list. I look forward to playing with you later. By the way, can you set up your friends list in the RB3 game or do you have to set it up through the Wii menu itself? Thx.
