Hey RockStarGrrl......Welcome to the party... I'll add you on today. I know what you mean about the drums, their hard as hell to learn. I play x-bass only because I can't seem to get my fingers to work on those guitar notes...lol

Look forward to rock'n with ya soon.

    1. Rockstargrrl - Your added, welcome to the club.

    2. Sorry about last night Bluebelles, as you may have read my drums died out mid way through "Here I go Again". Which is almost exactly what I yelled "Oh, Here we go again!!!". Three times in one night no less.
So on that note, does anyone else have this problem? Your playing away just fine and then the game plays on but not your drumming. On the drum keypad area, the four blue lights are strobing and your receiver light is a steady blue. BTW- The batteries are new.
Does anyone know how to repair this, because my only solution so far is to turn off the power and restart the wii entirely to clear the problem?

    3. After not playing them for awhile,(because it's was too hard and frustrating), I've started taking a liking to the drums(when it's not crashing). If you invite or accept invite, don't expect any large "Band Scores" with me (...yet). I'll be imersing myself on Hard difficulty in an attempt to get better. I am starting to get a hang of it, but if your the band leader, please wait a few seconds before going on to the next song in a setlist, as I might switch difficulty on some of the more demanding songs.

The flashing blue lights happens all instruments. It's the USB connectors on the Wii, they just go out randomly at times. I have had stretches when it did it quite often, then weeks of no problems. Hasn't happened in over 2 months and counting. Nothing you can do except reset using wii-mote or the console button (no need to power off or unplug, at least for me). The only suggestion I have is to only have the instrument that you are playing plugged in to the back of the Wii. This may cut down on the number of times it happens, but it seems it will still happen at random times.

Stick with those drums, it took me since the beginning of RB1 to move up to where I am now and I still can't do all songs on X. But it is so much fun. One thing that helped me moving up difficulties is playing the songs on breakneck speed on the level you are good at, then playing that song on the next diff. at regular speed. The timing will be the same, just more notes.

Whoops... been on DLCquickplay so long I forgot about where this all started.
Thanks Daddio54, as Bluebelles also mentioned there is a sheilding problem with the dongles. Simply unplug the USB device(s) that are not in use and there will be no problems. If you need more than 1 device then Bluebelles has come up with an ingenius and easy way to resolve this.
I think I've said this a couple of pages back but, playing alongside BB just seems to bring out my best. I've gotten through some tough/quick drum combos that I never can do on my own. We play just about every night so if you got a guitar, I,ve got drums and BB plays keys. Time of play and FC are in the sig'.

    Hey OMB'ers !

It's been about 4 months since I last played. I've been sidelined by RB3 injury, sort of... lol.

I had gotten the Fender Squier last December and really got into Pro mode guitar, as well as taking online guitar lessons. Between 1 hour guitar lesson practice and 2+ hour RB3 guitar sessions 4 times a week, guess it was just too much for my wrist. (Guess it should be expected, being that I'm in the "old man band")

Learning the power chords caused my left wrist to hurt, to the point that it was painful just trying to stretch apart my thumb & index finger, let alone trying to place them on the guitar strings.

It also hurt trying to play drums... so I thought I'd just lay off for a while.

It has gotten much better, but I just tried playing some chords and I can still feel the pain... so looks like it will take a lot longer for my old body to heal.

I would still like to play RB3, as well as play the Squier and use the amp that my wife gave me... so hopefully I will be able to be back on sometime this year.

Have a rockin' good summer everyone!
