Thread: Ska music

    Ska music

I have recently gotten back into Ska music. What a rush you get when you listen to it! I love the drums and the guitar so i'm wondering what are some good bands to look up for really like fast pace ska. I know theres Reel big fish, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Streetlight Manifesto, Catch 22, mustard plug and so on. But yeah i'd love to hear some more and expand. Also, if you can recommend songs with the classic ska guitar really noticable in the song that would be great becuase thats what gete the blood rushing.

"New Girl" by The Suicide Machines is really good.

I boosted my scores on medium to high 90's once I stopped trying to be Keith Moon during the overdrive solos.

Here are some good ska bands that you didn't list, but may have heard of: Big Lick, Boston Jolly Pirates, Mad Caddies, Arrogant Sons of *****es, and The Toasters.

Just listen to good ska like Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Akurat and Nguru and you'll be fine.

I'll jump in with Less than Jake, the first two No Doubt albums, Voodoo Glow Skulls, and the Pietasters as good 3rd generation ska bands.

I'll second LTJ and the Pietasters, great 3rd Wave Ska.

Bim Skala Bim and The Toasters if you're looking for some older ska.
