Well, they're at 33 now from GH1, 2, RTE, and 3. Considering that this game doesn't even have a release date yet, I wouldn't completely count that out. Come on Harmonix! Time to bury that game. How about a nice 6-pack next week of Hangar 18, Free Bird, Holy Diver, No One Knows, I Love Rock N Roll, and Welcome To The Jungle. OK? Thanks :-D

I find it hard to count Train Kept A-Rollin' and Hard to Handle 'cause they're covers in Rock Band. Thank goodness they gave up on covers...now if we can only cut out Live recordings <bracing for impact>...

They were covers in GH:A too.

Hell, Rock Band's cover of Train Kept A-Rollin' sounds closer to the original than GH:A's re-record.

Yes they do. The only difference is "apparantly" Harmonix initially acquired the rights to 17 songs, leaving 12 more after RTL, AJFA, Blackened, Enter Sandman and Battery. If the above is true, and at this point it's pure speculation as Harmonix has not confirmed it, then Harmonix would only be able to release those and nothing else. This is the main reason Enter Sandman was not exportable to the Rock Band 2 library. It would've involved transfering the song to a new medium and under Metallica's exclusivity deal, could not happen. I mean, do we REALLY think that Lars would turn down extra money off a deal he already made? If/when the Metallica 12-pack becomes official, I will probably add Guitar Hero: Metallica to the list.

You know, this thread is even more revelent now that GH has announced a "greatest hits" release with 45 songs... wonder if RB will have 45 songs from this list before NVRSFT gets this released...

When did Activision announce 45 songs?

And if they did, it better not cost more than $40.
