I think this is a great idea. I'll be tracking this thread over the coming months/years to see the progress. The GH1-2 bonus songs would be great! Also, looking at all those songs makes me want to boot up the ol' PS2 for another run. (If only my memory card wasn't corrupt...)

I believe there's the ability to save PS2 content on the PS3. CHeck out the PSN Store for "PS2 Data." (or something like that). It will allow you to play PS2 games on the PS3 and also save them without needing a memory card.

Yeah, I've already done that. What I meant was that my GH1,2,80s saves have all been corrupted, meaning I would either have to use the cheat to get all the songs (thus not needing a memory card) or I would have to play through the game all over again. Plus they lacked calibration, and there's WAY too much lag in my system to be able to play them, so I have my PS2 plugged into my old CRT TV across the house

Instead of "Completing..." this thread would more accurately be retitled "Reconstructing..."

Very interesting info. Well, I guess it depends on if HMX brokered the deals the first time round, or if RedOctane did it. If HMX had the contact info for those bands, and used them once, maybe they can dust 'em off and use em again.

Great thread. And I really hope HMX continues this trend. My GH1 and 2 both don't work, I sold GH3, and I don't plan on getting WT. I'd love to see many of the songs though.

Master Exploder made it on, so I'm pretty sure that Killing In The Name will be fine.

Same here...The songs I'm dying to play in Rock Band are Billion Dollar Babies, Six, Jessica, Push Push (Lady Lightning), Surrender, Hush, Thunderhorse, Sweet Child O' Mine, Hanger 18, Miserlou, Freebird, The Trooper, Heart Shaped Box, Shout at the Devil, among others. From top to bottom, the setlist is just full of win.
