To, Those of you living with others...

Are you not totally sick of being asked what your 'weird' music is?

Apparently Sonic Youth and Bjork are weird.
Well, everyone, prepare to have your guts kicked out by folk singers...

My roommate doesn't listen to music, and whenever I play mine when he's in the room, he either leaves or turns the tv up really loud, forcing me to put on headphones. So I guess all my music is weird.

Yup, they're both weird. For liking them, we are weird people. Accept it and revel in it, for we are beyond ordinary. That's not a bad thing.

I couldn't live in the same room as someone unless they were a total music nerd like me.

I'm only just developing my music nerdiness, and I got randomly matched with him. Living in a house with my own room next year though. *Cheers*

Nah, that's pretentious. I'm just glad on their behalf that I'm out of my harsh noise phase.

    Yep, those bands are weird.
    Taste is subjective.
Glad there is enough different kinds of music to make everyone happy.

Taste is subjective, yes, but I'd hardly call those two fairly mainstream artists weird. People are sheltered.

It's been a long time since my wife gave up on making sense of my musical taste. She was very excited that her Christmas gift of a "God is an Astronaut" shirt was well received, I think that is the first time in 8 years I've expressed any real enthusiasm for one of her gifts that wasn't on the list.

I have also been using headphones for the past 6 years.

Yes... my wife hates when I listen to Primus, Tom Waits, heck, even Marillion... So, I only listen to this music when she is away.
Pushing 50 and still rockin' like a teen, only now I can afford it and it takes longer to recover.
