I have to agree with Carl Palmer he is very underrated and is a great drummer IMO

    Nice.

Anyway, great list. I definitely agree with almost all of them.
Would you pay for music by Beck?
    Maybe.
What if you heard he owned a plane made of gold?
    Sure.
Good, because he needs the money.

Good pick with D.H. Peligro, he's criminally overlooked.
Although he lost it towards the end there. I think Bedtime for Democracy could've been a great record if he had played more than one drumbeat the entire album. He kind of ruins it for me.

i think "bedtime for democracy" is a pretty bad album overall, to be honest.

i think everything the band wrote after "plastic surgery disasters" took a severe dip in quality.

also, i do like mitch mitchell a lot but not enough for my top 25...
he and stewart copeland were two of the "big" drummers i considered.

    Whaaat? No love for Frankenchrist?
I agree that BFD wasn't as good as their earlier work to begin with, but there were some interesting ideas that could've been better had D.H. been conscious during the album's recording. I honestly can't even listen to that record on headphones, the non-stop blast beats give me a headache.

I have always held you in such high standards since I joined the forums. I saw this list and was like no mention of, and, what about. I then remembered the heading. "afterstasis' 25 favorite drummers" It did not say who you thought was the best just your favorite. So you still get my vote for poster of the year. To be honest a lot of these drummers I have not heard being I did not listen to there band. Shame on me.

Nice to see Carl Palmer & Bill Ward, both very underrated drummers.
