caught on tape: my kick drum pedal breaks in half

ahahaha i cant believe this. im kinda upset but its more funny than anything at the moment. reason being, i was doing really well on and justice for all so im like "hey. im gonna film myself for the hell of it with my digital camera's video recorder (im #4 on the leaderboards so i figured i'd catch some magic in the making). so i get like 40% through justice and. well see for yourself

i guess i can get a replacement from EA or whoever makes this game. i will figure out how to put a return request in. hopefully i dont have to ship back all of the drums although i did save the original box

if EA lets me keep my pedal i may try to transform it into hybrid electric/real kick drum pedal. i kinda wanted to do that anyway but didnt wanna screw anything up

I'm going to advise you to do two things.

Try and use your new kick pedal without a shoe.

    Put on a shirt.

tape the end to your shoe and just tap it on the base. lol

After hearing so many problems about the pedal drum I'm a bit worried and I'll use the pedal without any shoes.I did the same with my GT Logitech steering wheel.

the spring i think is too tight on these pedals. for double kick stuff i have to press down really hard. to make sure both register. im talking obviously about the really fast double kick. if i can loosen the spring i wont have to beat down so hard on it. i have to put my whole leg into it sometimes. if i could get just like 1" of clearence and/or a looser spring i think i'd be good. but for now i'll just make sure i press down on the pedal at or before the spring.

also im looking and it appears that on an intact pedal, if you push all the way down till the rubber feet hit the base of the pedal, if you wanted to, you could put extra weight on it and break it because there is a clear 1/4" or so gap between the rest of the pedal and the base. IE the only part of the kick pedal that touches the base is the pivot point at the bottom, and the rubber feet. at the top. this leaves the rest of the pedal succeptable to stress in the middle. i may put something there myself so that there is a support "bridge" in the middle.

i hope harmonix is seriously looking at this weakness and will address it at some point. unless i make changes (that i shouldnt really HAVE to) they'll be sending me a new one again im sure. its only been 1 week

why would they delete? im not complaining and im not asking for tech support

i called EA and they're sending a replacement in 3 - 5 days. they wanted to send me a box, me return it, then they send the replacement when they get my broken one but that would take 2 weeks she said, so i gave her my CC # and they're shipping one right now and will charge me if i dont send back the broken one

they are going to put a pending charge of 100 on your card. if that matters to you. the lady told me 10 days for my new guitar without CC# didnt want 200 out of my account cuz my drums are broken out of box. Yay me.
