    Van Halen probably would have tried to return to its roots, that's my thought.

    What if, after Steve Perry's departure from Journey, Neil Schon had decided to return to their Jazz Fusion days instead of bringing on replacement vocalists to unsuccessfully continue Journey's career as an Arena Rock band?

    Then Journey's fans from their sellout era would hate the band even more than they do now, but the fusion community would also shun them. They would have to pull off one really kick ass album to be able to impress fusion fans enough to respect them, and they'd be a kickass fusion group today.


    What if David Byrne would have reunited Talking Heads after being inducted into the R&R HoF?
