I agree that there is a huge issue w/ Harmonix/EA knowing the whole initial run has a manufacturing fault, but not doing anything about it unless someone calls them on it in 60 days. Whether or not it gets enough use for it to break by then is irrelevant.
Otherwise, they know we're all sitting on time bombs and are just biding time until they can wash their hands of the 60 day warranty guarantee. Kinda un-classy if that's the case. I'm not saying they're necessarily doing this, yet. This is probably a huge mess for them right and and they're likely still sorting it out. Admitting the issue is a classy first step. However, a recall or something needs to be put in place to take away the 60 day restriction for all those who bought 1st-run merchandise known to be defective...especially if there are also the drum issues and/or other issues w/ the equipment we don't know about.
Hopefully they show their love for the people who bought the platform and supported them out of the gate, and do something preemptive!
