That's my favourite Van Der Graaf album, actually.
And damn, I've listened to a good chunk of that list already. I must tip my nonexistent hat to you, your knowledge in Progressive Rock is a good bit more expansive than mine.

There's nothing like a crisis in mid-life.
I'm more versed in the Metal section of the genre. Progdor comes from that.

Very few of the bands I don't know; so looks like I don't have to go far to listen to much before I die, then.Though I'd disagree with a choice or two and if I did something similar; I'd include some of what you didn't. But that's personal choice and experience. Whatever.
Good list.

also, you have no idea how much I appreciate the input everyone, this took me about 2 hours to make (damn youtube and tinyurl...)
Cool list a21, surprising enough I actually knew every name on your list. I've also listen to most of the groups, I just need to get albums for them eventually.
I wish to be a magician of words!
Great list, but you missed my favorite "fourth wave" band - Riverside. To me, they stride the precarious line between Prog-rock and Prog-metal better than any other band I've ever heard. I always describe them as a massachusetts wedding between Opeth and Porcupine Tree, and it fits.
Does anyone chart anymore? le sigh.
