Great... now you've got me going through the Prog Archives again... this might be a while
(I had to smile when they listed Abydos as a forgotten gem of prog metal... that's one I keep recommending to anyone who'll listen to me on it)

Also, again on Bi Kyo Ran, I've prided myself in putting together a respectable library of Japanese Prog Rock artists. I think I have somewhere around 30, and it's a number I expect will go up in the near future.

There's nothing like a crisis in mid-life.
I'm listening to 'In the Court of King Crimson,' and it is awesome, I'd have to say.
Also could you guys recommend some good albums by Opeth for me to download?

"He's [Ringo] not even the best drummer in The Beatles!" - John Lennon
"Nickelback is the overcooked bacon of the music world" - me
Depends on what you're looking for. I'm particularly fond of Watershed and Damnation, but those with more of a taste toward black metal will be well-served by Morningrise, which is simply five epic tracks back to back (most notably the 21-minute "Black Rose Immortal").

I have around 13 CD's of Japanese prog, other than aforementioned Bi Kyo Ran its all Zeuhl, they have some really prolific Zeuhl artists over there. I'm lacking in symphonic, ecletic Japanese prog though.
I recommend Still Life. Especially if you like concept albums.
