Wasn't implying to make it a separate genre. Labels and stores dub it 'J-rock'. What else can people say? It just makes arguments whether they should be dubbed this or that. Who cares? Japanese bands rarely come here to the U.S. so music people can't say much. The only way to get CDs is through Import or stores such as Cartoon Field, Anime Club and Hot Topic. Go to any CD store here in the U.S. and the ONLY band you'll find is Dir en grey's Uroboros or gigurgamesh's self titled CD. That's it.

Overall status= have nothing better to do anymore... =/ PM if you want my RB2 code.
If you like Japanese metal (would we call it "J-metal"? That actually has kind of a nice ring to it...), try Sigh; that's by far my favorite J-metal band (sorry, I just really like the way that sounds!). Really bizarre, twisted stuff; especially their last three albums.
Ok then......back on topic. In no particular order.
Judas Priest
Metallica
Iron Maiden
