Dumb Musical Opinions You Used to Have

I've kind of observed the same thing. Rolling Stone did an article on them and (as much as I despise Rolling Stone) I decided to read it. They do seem like actually somewhat cool people. The same can go for Miley Cyrus. Apparently she's a big Iron Maiden fan.

Dude, Miley Cyrus can ****ing sing. She belted that duet with Taylor Swift. Very mature voice for being so young. If she gets out from under Disney's watch I bet she could do some very interesting things.

I heard the Iron Maiden thing was just a stunt to earn her some 'street cred'. Either way, I like using it to try and get innocent close-minded pop fans to listen to great metal much like how I get Nirvana fans to listen to the Melvins (though the connection is actually there).

Nirvana also liked Celtic Frost, Coffin Break, etc.

True, but there's an actual connection to the Melvins with the Houdini album and Cobain's work on it, which makes it much easier to get people interested. Not to mention that they present themselves as innocent enough, haha.

Again, I believe that that's all controlled by Disney. Disney wants stereotypes, so they control every aspect of the band. The band seemed to enjoy playing Superstition more than Burnin' Up, which gives me hope that they are just being suppressed by Disney's money machine.

I honestly would not be surprised the least bit if they hate their own band. Regardless, it's not like they are being forced into it.

I have yet to find a lyricist worse than Soulja Boy... don't make me post it.

I think "Yah, B****! Yah!", beats out "Let's get freaky now, let's get f***ing freaky now".

Honestly I used to think any music with screaming in it sucked entirely. Basically I was an idiot judging solely by the vocals. Hell, I just got into The Acacia Strain. :/
