I usually spent my time flipping through the rock stations until something good came on, so I didn't get too familiar with any station other than Top Tracks (since it had consistently good music). The overall quality, though, of the channels that changed still dropped noticeably enough.

I also heard they were applying for bankruptcy...

I usually just listen to my iPhone in the car, but I have a few CD's:

    T.Rex - Electric Warrior
    Iron Maiden - Powerslave
Elf Power - In a Cave
Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet
    Easy Star All-Stars - Radiodread

I usually just listen to them when I'm too lazy to plug in my phone. Right now, PT has been in there for about 3 months now. In the summer, I usually alternate between radiodread and T.Rex. The Elf Power and Iron Maiden records kinda just sit there.
Does anyone chart anymore? le sigh.

I don't have a car, and I usually take public transport (peace out, mother****er), but when I do get a lift, I force my dad to stick a CD on, which was Cat Power's Moon Pix last time.
Well, everyone, prepare to have your guts kicked out by folk singers...

I think I have a couple Throw Rag and Blasters cds in my car. Maybe a small book of cds behind the seat. I took them all out back when I started listening to SatRad and now I just hook the ipod instead.

I don't really find anything special about "having the cd". It sure ain't vinyl, or cassettes or 8-tracks for that matter. Its almost like iPod light, with all the fancy changers and the fact that you can easily skip or replay any track at the touch of a button, and at least cassettes never skip.

    I do prefer tapes myself.
