    From what I remember:

My dad is into Nirvana, Beastie Boys, Rage Against The Machine, Nine Inch Nails, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Guns 'N Roses, Thin Lizzy, George Thorogood, and I don't remember what else.

My mom is into Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughn (spelling?), Weird Al, and idk what else.

Up on their CD rack they have tons of other CDs, but I dont know who listens to what. They have Madonna, Dire Straits, Talking Heads, Hootie and the Blowfish, KISS, Queen, John Lee Hooker, and a whole lot more.

Dad: Classic rock stuff (Pink Floyd, Beatles, Elton John, Hendrix, etc)

Mom: Mainly pop jazz vocalists. She onced listened to stuff like Gabriel's Genesis. Last time I brought my Selling England by the Pound album, she knew every lyrics of In know what I like.

Dad listens mainly to country, But likes oldies and Motown.

Mom used to listen to Boz Skaggs, Rod Stewart and the Beatles. 'Till she "found religion" and now she listens to holy roller crap like Sandi Patti.

I'd like to add in here that my uncle and his wife are infinitely cooler when it comes to music than my parents. My aunt likes early alternative like Violent Femmes, Sonic Youth, and the Smiths, and my uncle likes that plus Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, and New Order.
Would you pay for music by Beck?
    Maybe.
What if you heard he owned a plane made of gold?
    Sure.
Good, because he needs the money.

Lucky, I wish I had your aunt and uncle. My uncle likes the same bands as my dad and my aunt likes modern hip hop and David Bowie.

Well... at least there's Bowie. Though she probably prefer the Let's Dance album.

My dad's into Ozzy, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Five for Fighting. Guess which one was the most unlikely? Also Sublime and Gomez.

My Mom likes The Beatles, David Bowie, Carpenter's, Maroon 5, The Rat Pack, and Disco/80's pop. Yeah.

My dad is kinda strange, he's quite picky for his music, but he likes AC/DC, some Judas Priest (but he hates Painkiller which I love) some Metallica, Old Dream Theater and just basic rock and pop and some metal... But the fact i really hate his taste is that he sometimes listens to 80's disco crap.

My mom doesn't listen to many bands particular, but she is kinda open for her music and he likes pop, rock, metal and pretty much all kinds of music. (She liked Dragonforce when we listened to it in car but she doesn't like metal with screaming.)

I'm not close to them, i can listen to everything except techno and usually metal, melodeath, death and doom metal normal heavy metal. I like some grindcore also.
