    2009 Albums

This is a thread to report on albums of this year, be it new ones you've procured, one's you're looking forward to, ones you still need to buy that have been released and info on upcoming albums.

The only one I've picked up so far has been Napalm Death's latest effort, Time Waits For No Slave, which I just bought today and am listening to now. I think it is pretty damn good. Looking at it side by side with Scum, it is definitely a much more mature sound. On the other hand, as it has been for a while, there are no original members in the band. Still a nice album. Only about halfway through at the moment.

I'm still looking to get the new albums from 16 and Tombs. I've heard great things about both, particularly the latter.

The only two albums I've bought this year were P.O.S.'s- Never Better and A Day to Remember's Homesick. They were both great. I would give them these grades.

P.O.S.- Never Better- 9.5/10 (Best Hip-Hop album I've ever heard)

A Day to Remember- Homesick- 8/10 (Very solid release. Great if you like metalcore and pop-punk working together)

I've gotten 4 new records so far this year:

Heartless Bastards, The Mountain (my fave so far, it's like a rock and roll lone justice)
Goblin ****, Come with me if you want to live (It's growing on me, very fun and very heavy)
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Self-titled (great debut, very dream poppy yet punk-ish at the same time.)
Lily Allen, it's not me, it's you (I haven't listened to it much, but it doesn't grab me as much as her first record. It's def more adventurous, though.
Does anyone chart anymore? le sigh.

Not really too excited right now for anything new being released this year, but I've bought a fair share of records so far.
