    Let's talk Squeeze.

I made this thread for two reasons: to discuss Squeeze, and to convince people that they're a good band, despite disliking Cool for Cats.

Alright. Let's start with the Cool for Cats thing:

    1. "Cool for Cats" is an odd song, for the reason that some like it and some hate it; the views on the song are usually more on the extreme ends, as shown on this forum. Personally, I enjoy the song, but just know that this isn't a clear show of all of their work.

    2. The singer of "Cool for Cats" is lyricist Cliff Difford. Cliff Difford sang only two songs throughout the duration of Squeeze. The real singer is Glenn Tilbrook, and trust me, there's a significant different in their voices.

    3. "Cool for Cats" is a bit predictable throughout the song, aside from the solo. Other songs by them are a bit less repetitive and catchier. (though I still love "CfC".)

Aside from that, here are some of my personal favorite songs by them:

    Cool for Cats
    Up the Junction
Pulling Mussels (From the Shell) <--- Favorite.
    Black Coffee in Bed
Annie Get Your Gun <--- Second favorite.

    Discuss Squeeze.

Squeeze is so cool, they are too cool for cats. They are above their own song.

I think Squeeze is probably the greatest pop group ever. Top-notch songwriting across the board.

Squeeze is fantastic, Pulling Mussels (From the Shell) is one of my all time favourite songs and Tempted and Cool For Cats are truly amazing in Rock Band.

Long time Squeeze fan here. I'm very partial to whole albums from them --

    East Side Story
    Argy Bargy
    Frank
    Babylon On and On

East Side Story actually is a kind of concept album. One great track after another, IMO.

A favorite song from other albums is Black Coffee in Bed.

Difford's lyrics are a real standout to me. While the music to Cool for Cats is not Tillbrook's best, the lyrics are awesome.
