Will the drums be Ions? If you want the crowd to really get behind this, have an Ion set up there so it will look as real as possible.

My grandparents live in Valley Center, CA, right near the Harrah's there...but the Las Vegas local competition is held the two days before the regional competition, so you might as well just combine the trip and you're already at Vegas even if you lose!

So is the competition judged purely on score like it says in the press release? Couldn't someone just figure out the highest possible full band score you could get out of that list of songs and just do that song at every competition? Are you judged on performance/costumes/crowd reaction, since there are going to be celebrity judges at each of the regional competitions?

I hope it doesn't work that way because that's exactly how it would go down. The regional and finals rounds would be like a Madden tournament where everyone picks that year's money team and runs the same 3-4 plays. Boring! With online leaderboards and scorehero it won't even take much work to figure out the highest possible score and correct pathing.

Didn't it say something about judges...why would you need judges for a "Score" based system...or was the "celebrity judging" just for the finals.

I didn't bother reading through the whole thing when the lady indicated "I'm not singing this far pregnant"...I figured we could have gotten some empathy points!

Wow theres at least 4 places in each region, and then theres only 2 in the western region, thats really lame and doesn't make a lot of sense

They wont even let you bring your own drum sticks, so I highly doubt you can bring your own guitar.
