    Frank Zappa on Crossfire

I thought that with all of the Zappa fans on this forum, people would find this interesting (if they haven't already seen it). Zappa totally owns this fool. He is very very comfortable and this guy is just trying to rip him up in every way. It's very entertaining.

It's funny that artists like Zappa were the only ones that had any common sense about the whole PMRC thing.

It's hard to believe that just twenty years ago everyone's favorite Nobel prize winner, Al Gore, had nothing better to do than show Twisted Sister videos in senate hearings. Wonder if the earth was getting warmer during the 80s? The sad thing is that the "great debater" had his lunch handed to him by Dee Snider of all people.

I for one went on a personal mission to find the W.A.S.P. "Animal (F Like a Beast)" when the morons made them public enemy number one. I guess I showed them.

I've watched that so many times, never fails to entertain me. There's tons of good interviews with Frank debating the PMRC floating around. Some really good stuff. Man I miss him.

My exact everything, haha. Occasionally, I can find Frank Zappa's entire PMRC testimony on youtube, but parts seem to be periodically taken down and put back up. Always great stuff.

I just told this to my dad and about how Zappa made the others look like a fool he laughed and told me about when Dee Snider testified to congress about the censorship of Albums and made a fool of them like Zappa did on crossfire

Dee's testimony was great, too. They thought they brought in a fool that they could confound. He himself, put it best, though:

They contacted my management and wanted to know if I would come and testify, figuring, 'Let's get the most recognizable character in metal at the time and put him up there as the poster boy for censorship.' They were caught off guard, because they didn't know I spoke English fluently.

Agreed intelligent he definitely made them look like idiots

Bottom Line: Intelligent musicians know what they are talking about and will make people who do not realize how bright they really are feel like a moron
