While I agree with your sentiment, there is just so much wrong with the rest of your arguement that I don't even know where to start.
First, "Helter Skelter" was not the first "Hard Rock" song, there were a lot more rocking tunes that came out well before it. In fact, the song started off as a slow bluesy number until Pete Townshend (of The Who) derided The Beatles in an interview by saying that they couldn't keep up with groups like The Who and the Rolling Stones. In response Paul changed it to be more in the same style as The Who to try to one up Pete.
