Nothing can stop me from buying this game, but I'd pay an additional $20 just to buy an export key.

don't get me wrong, i would too, but i just don't see it as a likely prospect.

I don't see why there is so much flak regarding people wanting to export songs. People like variety, and I know my crew would love to play Beatles songs, but only in moderation. They wouldn't want to play only Beatles, and switching discs each time you want to play a Beatles song just isn't practical. I'm not sure I would buy this unless it allows for downloading. I have already purchased RB and GHWT, and GHWT never gets any playtime at all for this very reason. When you have a party going, you don't want to break it up just to switch a disc. And then there is the online play interruptions with changing of games. It would make hooking up harder to coordinate than it already is.

People get flak because I would assume it's incredibly difficult to actually get the Beatles folk to agree to an exportable disc. It's easy to say "OMG WHY NOT EXPORTABLE!? NO BUY!" It's not like Harmonix said "Nah, we don't really want an exportable disc for you guys. Let's just mess with our fanbase like that."

I personally was surprised AC/DC allowed it, which is why I'm keeping my hopes up this time around. I've had bigger disappointments in my life, I should be fine if the option isn't there.

Anyone throwing rocks at HMX if this doesn't become a reality is a complete idiot. Of course they wish it could be played in both games, it's not like they are marketing morons. It's not their call in the end though.

Since 999 is the opposite of 666, we can therefore infer that the Beatles (and by association, this game) are the opposite of the devil. And who would that be? Jesus Christ. Therefore, the Beatles and this game are going to bigger than Jesus.

this bundle is almost $100 more than i paid for my Rock Band 1 bundle. Damn. Maybe it comes with 2 guitars?

Clearly you're missing the fact that it comes with 4 total hair setups, complete with mop tops, sideburns and mustaches.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the drums for this game have 1 less lane than the current RB drums. After all, Ringo has always played on a 4-piece kit, like this:

Cool, what a nice bit of news to come and find today.

Unfortunately, I can't really add to the discussion very much because what I'm thinking has already been said:

-higher price for bundle means something is up
-hopefully an export, given the "Rock Band" in the title of the game now
-circling Sept 9 on my calendar, NOW

Very exciting to finally have a release date. Looking forward to seeing a tracklist and other features of the game
