South of Heaven, Seasons in the Abyss, Skeletons of Society, KIlling Fields, and Bitter Peace is a good 5 pack to start with.

Also, the first album, Show No Mercy is pretty good too. It's not as heavy as Reign in Blood, but still kicks ass. If you happen to like Metallica's Ride the Lightning, you'll love Show No Mercy

All of those bands would collectively cry and piss their pants in the presence of Slayer.

Anyways, for some awesome raw speed metal just get the albums Show No Mercy and Hell Awaits. Oh, get the song "Silent Scream" from the South of Heaven album. It's my favorite Slayer song ever.

I know a lot of people who would say Show No Mercy is a Slayer must, but since I haven't heard it yet I can't really say that. :P

However, of the Slayer that I have heard, Seasons in the Abyss was always the one I enjoyed most.

Somehow I doubt most Slayer fans would like those bands.
Would you pay for music by Beck?
    Maybe.
What if you heard he owned a plane made of gold?
    Sure.
Good, because he needs the money.

Or most fans of halfway decent music in general. =P
