    Mama by Genesis

    I can't see you mama
    But I can hardly wait
Ooh to touch and to feel you mama
Oh I just can't keep away
In the heat and the steam of the city
Oh it's got me running and I just can't brake
So say you'll help me mama
Cos it's getting so hard - oooooooooooooooooooooh!

Now I can't keep you mama
But I know you're always there
You listen, you teach me mama
And I know inside you care
So get down, down here beside me
    Oh you aint going nowhere
No I wont hurt you mama
But it's getting so hard - oooooooooooooooooooooh!

Ha ha ha, ha ha ha, argh
Ha ha ha, ha ha ha, argh

Cant you see me here mama
    Mama mama mama please
    Cant you feel my heart
    Cant you feel my heart
Cant you feel my heart oh
    Now listen to me mama
    Mama mama
Youre taking away my last chance
    Don't take it away
    Cant you feel my heart?

Ha ha, ha ha ha, ha, argh

    Mama!
    I can't see you mama
But I know you're always there
You taunt, you tease me mama
But I never never can keep away
Its the heat and the steam of the city
Oh got me running and I just can't brake
So stay don't leave me mama
Cos it's getting so hard - oh

Don't go no no, don't go
    No no no, don't go...

    Sounds more like a rapist.

You know, for a guy who's generally known as a soft-rock/pop-rock geezer, Phil Collins had some pretty dark songs from time to time, like Mama and In the Air Tonight.

I'm not even sure it's about rape, more just the typical misogynistic crap you get in classic rock lyrics where the women's personalities take backseat to the stereotype they are meant to fufil.
Well, everyone, prepare to have your guts kicked out by folk singers...

    Definately.

Quite possibly one of the angriest songs I have ever heard comes from straight from Phil's solo career:

    Afraid nobody 'round here
    understands my potato
They think I'm only a spud boy
    looking for a real tomato

    I actually have 2

first is part of a song by korn, Wicked

"People wanna know how come I get a gat
and I'm sitting at the window like Malcolm
Ready to bring that noise and kinda trigger happy like Ghetto
    Blaster
December 29th was power to the people, ya'll might just see a
    sequence
'Cause police got equal, hey, A horse is a pig that dosen't fly straight"

    ------------------------------------

Another Is Toxicity by SoaD(yes, i know, anarchy but what more specificly?)
    "Conversion, software version 7.0
looking at life through the eyes of a tired hub
eating seeds as a pastime activity
the toxicity of our city, of our city
Now, what do you own the world?
how do you own disorder, disorder
Now somewhere between the sacred silence
    Sacred silence and sleep
somewhere, between the sacred silence and sleep
    disorder, disorder, disorder
More wood for the fires, loud neighbours
flashlight riveries caught in the headlights of a truck
eating seeds as a pastime activity
the toxicity of our city, of our city

Now, what do you own the world?
how do you own disorder, disorder
Now somewhere between the sacred silence
    Sacred silence and sleep
somewhere between the sacred silence and sleep
    disorder, disorder, disorder
Now, what do you own the world?
how do you own disorder, disorder
Now somewhere between the sacred silence
    Sacred silence and sleep
somewhere, between the sacred silence and sleep
    disorder, disorder, disorder
    When I became the sun
I shone life into the man's hearts
    When I became the sun
I shone life into the man's hearts"

oh, and another. Is This satanic? I don't think so but everyone who has heard it thinks it is, so i need some backup

    "Walk away when you're angry
Brace yourself, there's nothing to gain
Old enough to know the outcome
More blood, it's always the same

Aren't we cool and aren't we calm
For facing death we run head-on
Aren't we cool and aren't we calm
For god we've suffered for so long

    Do what they say
    Or they take it away
I'd rather be dead then carry on

(wait) Bite your lip, don't be cursing
(we must) We musn't take God's name in vain
(in vain) Blunt your knife, pull the curtain
    (impulse) Impulses you must refrain

Aren't we cool and aren't we calm
For facing death we run head-on
Aren't we cool and aren't we calm
For god we've suffered for so long

    Do what they say
    Or they take it away
I'd rather be dead then carry on

Somebody carry on with this burden
    I can't remember anything
    I can't be certain

Aren't we cool and aren't we calm
For facing death we run head-on

    Do what they say
    Or they take it away
I'd rather be dead then carry on"

    ------------------------

    Or this one
    "
I read your little book and... ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
I read your little book and... ha ha ha ha

You need a reason to believe
    A reason to deceive
A reason for the song you're singing (ha ha ha ha ha)
    And everything you do
    Makes perfect sense to you
So why is your alarm bell ringing

You say you know how it feels inside of me
Lost and alone with no love or luxury
    Come on inside
And hear the silence constantly judging me
Don't you think you should move on?

I know that you're so ****ing lonely

You need a way to get along
    A way to carry on
A symptom for the pain you're making
    And surely you should know
    That everywhere you go
There's acid in the words your faking

You say you know how it feels inside of me
Lost and alone with no love or luxury
    Come on inside
And hear the silence constantly judging me
Don't you think you should move on?

You write it, so you'd best believe it
You sold it, now your soul perceives it
You read a book, but now agree with it
    The damage of betrayal
    To Hell with the...

    Reason to believe
    A reason to deceive
A reason for the song you're singing
    And everything you do
    Makes perfect sense to you
So why is your alarm bell ringing

You say you know how it feels inside of me
Lost and alone with no love or luxury
    Come on inside
And hear the silence constantly judging me
Don't you think you should move on?
Don't you think you should move on?
Don't you think you should move on?"

ok, thats more thank 2, but anyway, its something to think about

Most of those just smack of teenage angst to me, from various 'I dun wanna go ta church' scenarios to 'I haet da governmunt'.
Well, everyone, prepare to have your guts kicked out by folk singers...
