    Suicidal Tendencies: Thrash Metal or Punk Rock?

    ok so this is in regard to the Community's Rock Band: Punk Edition
    are Suicidal Tendencies Punk Rock or Thrash Metal?

    Ive heard a few of their albums, self titled and How will I laugh tomorrow when I cant even smile today, and I can conclude theyre more thrash than they are punk

    I'd say both. They had strong elements of punk, hardcore, and thrash.

    They were a hardcore punk band then a crossover band then a thrash band. I guess you could just call that crossover if you consider it a movement and not a genre, but there were at least 3 clear distinctly different sounds for the band and its various lineups over the years.

    This, although they've also been known to throw some funk into the mix. Their last album, Free Your Soul and Save My Mind covered all of these styles.
