South By Southwest Attendess will preview Ten

SXSW: Rock Band Lounge Previews Pearl Jam's Ten
By Scott Thill March 16, 2009 | 1:56:54 PMCategories: Games, Music, SXSW

Eighteen years after it first exploded alternative rock into the mainstream, Pearl Jam's twelve-times-platinum debut effort Ten is heading to Rock Band. And you thought that playing a game about depression, abuse and homelessness would be a downer.

Although it won't officially be available in the Rock Band Music Store until March 24, South By Southwest attendees lucky enough to sneak into the Rock Band Lounge, located directly behind Austin's Marriott and Residence Inn at 311 E. 5th Street, can preview or play Ten's supernova tracks like "Alive," "Jeremy" and more from noon to 6 p.m.

Of course, non-virtual bands are making an appearance at the Lounge as well, including The Duke Spirit, The Matches and Dear and the Headlights (clever name, that last one.) But the action is most likely where the nostalgia is, and that lies with Eddie Vedder and his flannel-clad rock noisemakers of old. Play on, aging slackers, play on.
Pushing 50 and still rockin' like a teen, only now I can afford it and it takes longer to recover.

Yes but they aren't listened as being at the event so why would they be in the second pack. Logically it would be comprised of bands performing there THIS year.

    ☐ Alexisonfire ☐ Billy Talent ☐ Cake ☐ Cream ☐ ELO ☑ Heart ☐ Kinks
☐ Neil Young ☐ OLP ☐ Sex Pistols ☑ Sublime ☐ Supertramp ☐ ZZ Top
