Exactly.. This will go down as the thing that broke the trust between HMX and their customers... Oh sure the HMX apologists will swallow anything they do or say and continue to say "well you should have listened to it first, blah blah blah"...HMX Devs are so scared about comming in here and addressing this isssue. On top of that the mods think its sooo comical.. Ok so be it, but just remember the fans are the ones who built this company supporting HMX from back in the days of amplitude and so on but hey we are just the consumer right

At least we've got the in-game music store so we can listen before we buy, right?

And yeah, Apples is just a mod, and I think it's actually his job to make fun of things or set people up to rage. But, I applaud him for that.
Hell, if it wasn't for him, we'd all be bored on fridays.

These guys are awesome. They help keep things orderly and in line. I should note that the community mods are not employed by Harmonix, and their opinions, while usually awesome and totally correct , are their own.

HMX makes it pretty clear that the community moderators do not speak for HMX. If anyone thinks otherwise, then they don't understand the position of a community moderator sufficiently. They're just like other posters, except they have tools to clean up the forums. If it is their opinion that they find something amusing or tragic or awesome, they don't have to check in with HMX PR first to see if it's okay to post their opinion.

Also, I believe the comments were just about how they found some of the discussion in the thread amusing, not that they found it amusing that people were upset over this.

The mod-only HMX guys tend to be nicer than some of the actual HMX guys we get, who seemed either overworked or just really, really spiteful.
Not to name names, just be glad we see less of them.

Even worse than that, try going to any message board run by a business. You'd think Blizzard recruits from prisons. Be very, very thankful it's HMX we deal with and not their competitor. Your complaints would be met with accusations of piracy, communism, and maybe even that you were the one on the grassy knoll. And that's on a good day.

That's not irony, it would be ironic if the games were Guitar Hero and you said to listen to the vocals. But since its Rock Band, and most-all bands have vocals, then there's no irony in listening to the vocals.

I don't like papa roach, never had any intention of buying the songs. So I did find it a bit amusing, but I'm not in a position of power.

I do feel a bit bad for these guys though, I look at it as if one of my bands had finally come and this happened I'd be pissed and if a mod was pouring salt in the wounds I'd freak.
