    In my opinion, here is a good one for each genre:

    Classic rock:
    Singer: Freddy mercury
    Drums: Keith moon
    Guitar: Eric Clapton
    Bass: ????????????(help me out!)

    Metal:
    Singer: Rob Halford
    Drums: Mike Portnoy
    Guitar: Yngwie Malmsteen
    Bass: Steve Harris

    Help me come up with more!
