    My thought exactly. I don't think Radiohead can be described as one true genre because they take several influences from many genres especially on Kid A and Amnesiac.

    There was nothing arrogant about what I said. Alternative Rock was a music scene/movement and nothing more. Unless you can tell me how the Pixies, Guided by Voices, fIREHOSE, R.E.M and Butthole Surfers sound the same or even similar.

    Even in the early 90s it was just a bunch of bands and musicians connected via a scene. I don't understand how many bands had similar aspects (outside of respective smaller scenes).

    Sure Radiohead, Superchunk, etc. had a similar sound. But not a lot did for very long.
