You've had 3 of them go out on you? I've been using the one we have for over 6 months without any issues so far.

If you're running composite video, you don't even need anything THAT robust. I ran a 3 TV setup on Saturday using nothing but a 2 channel Switch box and a pair of RCA Y splitters. No signal degradation running through 3 25' cables. Although, for simplicity's sake, I'd recommend a single amplified unit like the one posted above.
For those of you who have the song lists in Excel, you may create a nice looking document in Word and then run a mail merge.
We have all of the song info in an Access database and then just print out the documents from Word that have our headers/ footers on them. Makes them all nice and pretty.![]()

Side note:
I've been rethinking "group" names, and have come up with (what I think is) the best one so far:
U.R.B.A.N. -- Underground Rock Band Affiliate Network
optional variations include Unofficial, Ultimate, or Universal for the U, and Advocate or Alliance for the A.
Thoughts?
Ok someone was mentionning a mic setup that used a regular mic that got split into a signal for the PA and one for the PS3. Can you link the needed adaptor to plug a regular mic into the PS3 so that Rock Band will be able to use it please.
Also a list of the stuff in the DLC that nobody ever uses during your events would be nice. I already downloaded everything I thought there might be interest for. There are albums on the DLC that are from popular groups but I have a hard time believing someone would want to sing them.
It would be very nice if Harmonix added the songs that are really popular for Karaoke too. I know that the top 10 list at many places are similar. They might not make the best Rock Band songs but they would make Karaoke people very happy...
To import songs into Excel it's rather easy. You go on the song list on this website and copy/paste everything into Excel. Then you can delete what you don't want. The only issue with this is that when updates come you will have to do everything manually.

That's the cable I use to convert from XLR output to USB input. They also offer a 1/4" variation, should be the same price.
I made my own 1/4" variation using an old RB mic, chopped then spliced into a 1/4" Jack from Radio Shack.
More info in this thread.
So is anyone in here officially incorporated while doing this and if so, can you share some of the fixed costs you have on a monthly basis?
For example:
Gas ($25)
Supplies ($20)
Insurance ($75)
Accounting/Legal
Advertising ($250)
Miscellaneous ($100)
Anything else?
Those are just numbers I put together while feeling around over the last week.
Please add yours.
U2 and Coldplay for Rock Band please!
