Ideally, you want a strong signal without distorting/clipping from your pre-out and adjust the mixer tape-in / mixer main-outs level to the house amp for preferred volume from that. In other words, don't have your pre-out level set low and their mixer tape-in set high. This would introduce unwanted distortion into the audio signal chain. You could also link your signal to one or two channel inputs of their mixer. You may simply need an "RCA to 1/4" mono phono adapter(s)" to attach to your RCA cable, unless their mixer has RCA inputs on some channels available. You should keep extra adapters and cables in your kit anyway for oddball situations that come up.
    What he said

I'd definitely go the RCA - 1/4" adapters through the channels, as this means if you need to tweak anything, they will have all the trim pots and also possibly effects. A lot of mixers don't have that on the 'tape in' or 'aux' ports.

They where at the convention this week. I chated with them for a little while and they loved the idea of having someone else run their Rock Band Night. Could be your 1st gig :-)

Also, I contacted Yayos Tacos while I was in Vegas to see if the still had a Rock Band Night goin on. The said they where going to start it back up and they also loved the idea of having someone else run it (I guess some guy used to but had to go back to school or something). Anyways, Yayos Tacos has 2 locations in Vegas that would like to book with an independent promoter if some one is up for it

Hey Gabe, you didn't happen to network with any aussie venues while you were there by any chance?

    Hey guys,

We've managed to book quite a large gig next month at a major expo here in Australia and I was wondering if some of you may be able to help me out.

As HMX doesn't officially run a bar nights program here and doesn't seem to answer my emails, I have no way of getting any point of sale or promotional gear, such as posters / flyers etc.

I'd really like to make the Rock Band stage look as professional and mind blowing as possible, so would any of you have anything that you could spare to send me? I'm happy to pay postage if necessary so you're not out of pocket.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Here's the full announcement of the gig and with 20,000 people through the doors, it's going to be big!!

    Hi folks,

Guess where I will be this weekend?

    http://www.rockband.com/zine/hmx-at-pax

Not sure any Bar Nights folks will be there because it seems HMX focuses more on the development, but definitely HMX folks will be there.

I'll try not to make us look too dorky when I introduce myself as a Rock Bar Band Nights member.

    Oops, gotta practice that.

Question 2010 Total Rock, Total Rewards

Has anyone heard what is up with this year's competition, venues, schedule, etc.? Has anyone gotten confirmation yet? My venue and I have heard nothing, yea or nay, since applying by the March 25 deadline. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!
