I wouldn't say that the 1200w wasn't enough. I only run a 400w powered amp (200 per channel) and it is plenty loud! It never even gets turned up past 1/2 way at most venues. I've been told that the sound has a lot to do with the speaker and amp combo. I think I just got lucky with my combo because I'm no pro-sound expert. I have a Yamaha powered amp and a 12" Yamaha speaker (used as the monitor speaker), and then I bridge 2 Beringer 15" speakers as the mains. I picked up the Amp and the 12" used off of craigslist.com for only $300 and the Beringers a bought brand new from a local Musicians Super Store for $100 each. Hope this helps.

You have a great website. Looks like you did your homework and have built a nice little brand down in Atlanta.

Is there a general consensus on pricing? I'm thinking the 250-300 range in the Seattle area is a pretty good starting point with a 4 week discount or something like that to get in.

I hope someone won't mind sending me a PM or email to nocturnalrockstars@gmail.com to give me some advice on this. I'm about to hit the street and sign a place or 4 up.

It is underneath the singer and guitarists TV. It actually kinda supports the 42" from tipping forward

We discussed pricing a bit earlier in this forum. $250-$300 is usually what I charge a private party without the portable stage. Weekly "Bar Nights" go anywhere from $120-$200 depending on travel time and the bars resources. It's my opinion that a good starting price for someone who is just starting out is around $100. It's a good introductory price that the bar would be willing to pay while the host, who is just starting out can refine their set up and hosting skills.

This was a powered mixer Gabe. I checked with Behringer and apparently they're made for more of live duo or folk application rather than blasting out rock!

Mixer + power amp would be a lot more flexible, but you're right, you may have got a good combo. Yamaha are a good brand.

Alright. I'm more than audio/video challenged. I'm really hoping someone here can help me out with this. I'm going to run a PS3 into a 23" vga connected flat panel monitor for my drummer. Another lcd tv for the rest of the band, and one last projection screen/flat panel tv for the audience to watch.

I think I need to get a 4 way HDMI powered splitter, and a vga/hdmi adapter, as well as an HDMI extension wire. That should take care of my visual if I'm correct. How about the audio? I don't even know what to buy and how to run it from the PS3, or one of the TV's into the PA system for the sound.
