He really is. Hes more of a percussionist than a pure rock drummer. Also, his ability to levitate and bend matter at will would put him in the realm of a wizard as well.

My favorite drummer on your list is Peart. As far as "modern" drummer on the list i'd go with Larkin.

Bonham, Peart and Ulrich are about as non-modern as you can get. I know everyone else said that. But wtf were you thinking?

My favorite drummer on the list that's actually modern is Dailor.
    Nope.

You have Bonham and Peart, but not Copeland or Palmer?

    Also, no Portney

Anyway I go with Palmer after all he is still making music (released an album with Asia last year) so he is still technically modern

Oh yeah... I forgot to post.

Brann Dailor. He is my favorite drummer, pretty much.

I thought Ancient ****ing Greece was modern.
It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now.

Yes, modern is anything that is included in written history, of course this topic of discussion is totally irrelevant, the best drummers were all cavemen.

    Well, the results prove it

    Brann Dailor > Neil Peart

    Even his name is better.
    Nope.
