    Songs for Clarinet

So, I was looking through my garage, and recently round an old clarinet. So, I was wondering, what are some good songs with clarinet parts in them?

Don't play anything. The clarinet was the worst four years of my life, and I regret ever deciding to take it. Play sax instead.
Would you pay for music by Beck?
    Maybe.
What if you heard he owned a plane made of gold?
    Sure.
Good, because he needs the money.

I actually played Limelight quite well on the sax. Try that.

yeah just don't bother.....wtf?.... i recommend finding a site with lead sheets for any song you want to play. there are a few songs with clarinets but your better off looking for trumpet parts (same key) or going to a site like wikifonia.org and playing any of the songs in Bb.

There actually are a handful of rock and pop tunes with memorable clarinet parts, if you're interested in learning those:

    The Beatles - "When I'm Sixty-Four"

Billy Joel - "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant"

Steely Dan - "East St. Louis Toodle-Oo"

Supertramp - "Even in the Quietest Moments" and "Breakfast in America"

It's all right. Everything will work out fine.

Firewater uses clarinet in quite a few of their tunes. It's not, to my knowledge, ever used as a lead instrument, though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCRqK...eature=related | http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkT-X...eature=related
