Modern Day Equivalents Of Classic/Legendary Bands

Basically as the title says, who do you think is the modern day equivalent of any classic/legendary band in any genre. It could be based on sound, attitude, influence that you think the will have, or anything else that makes them similar to any classic band.

Beck is the modern-day Bob Dylan.

    Seriously.
Would you pay for music by Beck?
    Maybe.
What if you heard he owned a plane made of gold?
    Sure.
Good, because he needs the money.

Travis Barker is the new Tommy Lee. Dave Grohl is the new Paul McCartney.

Mine is kinda self explanatory if you are familiar with his projects and I understand Julio's as well (especially the Grohl one )

Travis Barker is a very mediocre drummer but is the main draw to his respective band (like Motley Crue). And Dave Grohl is a wonderful muti-instrumentalist, like Sir Paul.

    Okay I will explain mine

Alan Parsons created several concept albums and incorporated several musicians into his albums

Arjen Anthony has created several side projects based on a concept (Star One, Stream Of Passion, Ambeon, Aryeon, and Guilt Machine) and his main project Ayreon is a concept with several other concept albums
