Default Live Pearl Jam project for Rock Band?

Hey gang,

Here's an interesting press release that I thought you may want to check out. Read on.

We need your help! Ten Club, MTV Games and Harmonix’s Rock Band, and Rhapsody are teaming up to let you, Pearl Jam’s biggest fans, help us choose the best versions of Pearl Jam live songs that will be presented for the first-ever fan voted set list for a forthcoming Rock Band project.

Your expertise will help us determine which of these versions is worthy of making the cut. Just click on the songs you like and open up the Rhapsody playlist widget for that particular song. Once you have the widget open, listen to the version you think is the best. The versions that are played the most times will be deemed the best versions and will then be entered into consideration to make the final “set list” vote.

Note: Those of you who aren’t Rhapsody subscribers will have to go to here to get your free trial subscription so you can use the play list.

You’ve got your work cut out for you.

I'll link to an official discussion thread as soon as word starts to get around. So get posting!

Ok henry what the heck is this for?

interesting...the pearl jam tracks do kick ass...would love to see more of em, but I can't help but wish we were getting new songs instead of retreads...

I hope it isn't really just based on how many times a song is listened to. I could just put one song on repeat on mute on a couple computers and give that song a big push. Perhaps they'll limit the number of "votes" for a song from a given user in a day.

Who said it was retreads? Just play your favourite live non-represented song over and over and over and over.... well, you get the hint, to bring it up.

According to the PR it doesn't look like it's limited to "Ten" tracks, but I could be wrong of course.

I won't be participating myself, due to my dislike of Pearl Jam (except a few select tracks). I am, however, intrigued to know what this "future rock band project" is!

What trends are these?

We don't know what this "project" is, it could easily be a live 3-pack of DLC for all we know.

Crap... I didn't know this was an actual announcment, I thought you just found it on the 'net somewhere...

anyway, this is a very interesting concept. I know Pearl Jam releases just about every concert they perform, now the fans get to pick a best of pack of live recordings? This should be a great release next year!
