There's just something about the Celtics that makes people either love them or hate them. Like the Yanks or the Cowboys.

For me, the Celtics are the team that I always try to hate, but somehow find myself oddly pulling for them. Not so much with the Yankees or Cowboys, tho -- they remain easy to hate.
    The thrill is gone.....

I have been a Celts fan since the days of Bird, Parish and McHale. I have definitely enjoyed their resurgence as a power team in the NBA (after years and years and years of suckitude) - especially as they play as a TEAM and not a collection of gigantic egos (or one GIANT ego *cough*LA*cough*).

I dont think this warrants them to be called the most unprofessional team in history. Maybe they were playing the intimidation card or something. And sometimes teams freak out cause they are excited or pissed off. I mean remember when that guy hid behind the pitchers mound in baseball and started chucking "grenades". people could have called that team (whatever team it was) the most unprofessional team in history. So I dont think one incident should be the deciding factor.

Wow, this thread is three pages and no mention of the Bad Boys, especially after Daly's recent passing?

I actually miss those days when games were chippy and there were true rivalries in sports. Being a Bulls fan, I hated Detroit (and still do) with a passion, but there was no greater satisfaction than putting them on their ass for 6 years in the 90s. That joy wouldn't have been nearly as great if the hate didn't come before it.

Which is why I'm enjoying this Dallas/Denver matchup. Poor refereeing, elbows, flopping, hard fouls, taunting; "It's amazing".

The NBA in general is probably the most unprofessional sport.
