Yea, so not a lot of diverse plays and kinda top heavy. I have had this slight addiction with The Soft Bulletin lately.

WHAT: The Flaming Lips With Neon Indian <--holy **** how have i not heard about this **** me **** me **** me

2009 catchup? gonna bump you up .5 for making me aware of a cool collab, but the charts are generic-core with no real range - standard alt/indie drivel and some p4k-approved hard rockers with a slight dip into some of the most entry-level electronic music out there. in short, if you want my advice, try checking out some electronic that isn't harped on daily by the same people who think Kid A is the best album of all-time.

    4.5/10

most of the tracks are 20-40 minutes long this week when you get near the bottom, so rate everything. low plays due to Spain trip

8/10 (7 if I went negative mode), strong charts with variety and quantity/quality; just not a lot I'm in absolute love with.

Bonus points for The Mats being your most listened, pretty solid Alternative Rock choices. Not too much that got me excited though and there were quite a few artists I didn't like.

    electronic-wise:
    oneohtrix point never
    flying lotus
    demdike stare

on the less p4k side of electronic:
stockhausen (start with kontakte and listen to it with no distractions)
    suicide
    supersilent
xiu xiu has some electronic-y stuff on some records, but aren't REALLY electronic ifyaknowhatimsayin'

    general good ****:
fela kuti - roforofo fight (gonna be whoring this out on here a lot)
    dadawah - peace and love
a clockwork orange soundtrack (not the best classical collection ever, but a nice enough place to start and see how you like some of the older stuff)
    this heat - deceit (<3)
    magma - MDK (ZEUHL MOTHER****ER)
    can - tago mago
    robert wyatt - rock bottom
henry cow - in praise of learning/western culture
dead can dance - within the realm of a dying sun (i'm told their record 'the serpent's egg' is superior, but i haven't looked more into them just yet)

Some great stuff, even if a large amount of your stuff is stuff I haven't heard. Nothing I dislike. The genres I rarely listen to like post-rock and metal you have artists I recognize and enjoy quite a bit. 8/10, with a .5/10 margin of error for the fact that a good number of artists are unknown to me.
