Correction, Pull me Under peaked at #10. Let me ask you a question; Have you ever heard of Phish? They've been around since around the same time as DT, and they've also sold 8-9 million or so albums/DVDs. They, however, have around seven gold albums, and two platinum. Yet, they aren't mainstream, they have had 10 charting albums, yet, they aren't mainstream. DT is mainstream, yet have had very little mainstream success, and that success is their one mainstream hit. Mainstream is defined as being in the flow of what is currently IN and not just in one scene. It's defined as music that is familiar to the masses, or is more friendly to the masses.

Phish had a hit? What song?

I'd consider them fairly mainstream. It's not like it's a bad thing either.

No they haven't. I changed subjects in mid sentence, I meant DT. EDIT - FIX'D

Ya it really isn't, I don't know why I'm arguing this much about this. But Phish is a major cult band, a lot of people listen to them but they aren't mainstream because mainstream radio doesn't play them. And if you ask any bubblegum pop listener if they know anything by Phish they will likely respond "What fish?"

Phish is definitely mainstream. They had, not one, but two headline shows at Bonnaroo this year, including the close-out show. The only band higher on the billing than them was Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band.

That being said, I'm officially ruling these conversations over. No more sidetracking this thread!

I'm not a huge fan of everything on your list, and the stuff that I was apathetic towards was really outweighed by some bands that I really like. The only stuff that I dislike from your list were Kanye West and Snoop Dogg.

My own only has 10 artists thanks to not syncing my iPod (it's full, and until I get a new iPod, iTune will have more music than my iPod, so...)

8/10 like you said there's not much variety but you have a reason, nothing I hate and a lot that I like.

I've been out most of this week doing stuff with friends (and football) to make the last week of summer worth it. So... I haven't scrobbled a lot :P.
