    I've heard some stuff from some of those albums and such, but don't have them in my library.

    Out of curiousity, how are incorporating it? I've always thought that bands that are influenced by classical (especially prog) only take longs songs and complicated rhythms from it, when there's so many other components to it, like forms and harmony

    aside from the obvious answers of "texture", "subtlety", and whatnot i'm really drawing more from that "each entrance and exit of an instrument is at least as important as what is played" style of refinement that i didn't pay much attention to previously...

    additionally, i'm simply finding myself playing more piano and less guitar...
