06/24/2011: Here we have our offering for the month of June

    June is Fancy, too fancy.

Our RB2 Characters Sammy (left) and Jen (right) enjoying a nice day out… I bet Yogi stole their picnic basket (on a list of ‘add ons’ for later fixin’s). Drawn and colored by DrifterUK and I.

That time of the month again................ for some fan art that is. Another addition to our Rock Band Calendar theme.

7-18-2011: Holly & Snow Enjoying a day on the lake.

Considering I had no clue how to do water and have it look right, outside of being a big blue blob, just ended up using a photo. The colors looked nice at least.

Collab work between DrifterUk and myself.

The water actually creeps me out a bit. It's got crazy dimension to it while everything else is flat. I actually have a work that is crazy similar, but has no relation to Rock Band whatsoever.

I drew my monster and a ship few years back to get a cheap crappy art project out of the way. I didn't like the teacher and could have spent more than five minutes on, but I didn't. This was part of a series of many drawings combined with photos. Only one actually turned out decent.

My Rainbow Robot of Seattle is the only good one from this series of photos.

Edit - I still like it even though it creeps me out, its a good feeling to me, makes me pay attention to it better to see why i have these feelings about it.

I think it can work splicing the flat and not so flat stuff. Makes for lots of fun at least. That dragon of yours amuses me. Simple, yet it just works

LOL, yeah I fail at drawing water of any sort unless for a super simplistic cartoon thing. That involves a shape, and some blue, and I can get away with it. Didn't work on this one unfortunately. Tried a few methods to get simply something that looked like water and not a blue throw rug, but I reinforce the 'fail' part.

That lake is quite enticing, especially that nice blue, makes me want to be in it right now

Not RB related, but splicing stuff related. I did this from another game a few years ago: http://folkeye.deviantart.com/art/Pa...ction-45658162 I did it since I liked the picture (took it while camping) and second, just to have something really wrong most might not pay attention to (yeah the lone palm in the pine forest and all). Fun times.

Actually in all irony palms and pines coexist in the Everglades.

So your image isn't too far off Folkeye.

...and here I was trying to be all snarky and all Well at least I know there were no palms where I was at the time, so that counts

I guess you could call this "fan art in reverse..." I've had all these characters for years now (minus Ryan, he's newer). The other three are the protagonists in my self-published novel, and I draw them all a lot. Of course it was natural to make the transition into on-stage rockers when I got RB3... even if characteristically, all of them would probably be tone-deaf. hehe.

Here's a little pic for comparison purposes. I'm working on getting a better picture :/

You can find the rest of my gallery here! If you're a fellow devianTARD feel free to say hi or devwatch me! I'll be looking through the rest of this thread to scope out artists! If there's anything I love more than Rock Band, it's definitely drawing.
