    No Export For The Beatles

During our time with Randall we asked him about the possibility of sharing songs between The Beatles: Rock Band and the other versions of Rock Band.

(long story short: The Beatles game is a stand-alone product that won't support song-swapping either to or from The Beatles: Rock Band),

The possibility of customization (players won't be able to customize their favorite mop top), and the process of remastering the original Beatles catalog for the game.
    From Gamespot.

    I'm not surprised either.

No surprises there if true. I never understood why anyone would think otherwise.

RP I cannot think of ANY reason why the entire RB2 engine can't be thrown onto the disc for playing existing songs and quickplay can't have it all in (segregated for Beatle/Apple happiness)... am I missing something? HMX you can rip off this amazing (obvious) idea or employ me, it's all good as long as the game gets done right.

Probably came down to money. And the final say with the remaining Bealtes and Family, and Apple.

extremely disappointing to say the least. this goes against harmonix's view that rock band is a platform. while it still looks like a good game and i might still get it, that might just be a deal killer for me and alot of people.

It is basically like making a CD player for Beatles albums only, when a CD player for any CD not by the Beatles already exists.

I'm not surprised or dissapointed, to tell you the truth. Chances are Apple just wanted to release to include The Beatles music exclusively - I can't see HMX being responsible for this decision, because of how unprofitable it could be.

The article doesn't mention anything about DLC compatibility, though.
