Shipped Sept 22! Three weeks earlier than prevously announced. Official Announcment

Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft,
PLAYSTATION3 computer entertainment system,
PlayStation2 computer entertainment system an
Wii(TM) system from Nintendo.

The suggested retail price for Rock Band Metal Track Pack is $29.99.

Six of the on disc tracks are brand new to the Rock Band platform and will be exclusive to the Rock Band Metal Track Pack disc for a limited time before joining the Rock Band(R) Music Store as downloadable content.

Interesting. Hopefully it will include some new content, otherwise its going to be hard to fill a disc with 20 actual metal songs, much like what happened with the classic rock track pack.

I dunno, there's a LOT of Metal DLC out there. And they could also add Nu-Metal if they wanted.

The only drawback of a metal pack is that Metal fans are a LOT more specific in their demands it seems...so you can't pull a Classic Rock thing and mix in other genres.

eh...I already have pretty much all the metal that doesn't suck (IMO) so unless there's A LOT of new crap on disc, I'll pass but this is great for PS2'ers
