UK Wii Release Date - AAAARRRRGGGHHHHH !!!!!!........

I again find myself posting here about the UK Wii release date.

Play.com have moved it again in the last 24 hrs from 26th June to 3rd July !!

JULY !!!! I pre-ordered it in December as the original listed release was December - Since then its moved monthly. I was an idiot and bought Wii Pts up front in January and with the rubbish DLC on Guitar Hero I still have 6000 left which I want to spend on RB2 DLC.

DO YOU HEAR ME !! I WANT TO GIVE YOU £30 FOR THE GAME AND I WANT TO SPEND MY £45 WORTH OF PTS ON YOUR DLC !!!

PLEASE TELL ME WHEN I CAN FINALLY BUY THIS GAME !!!!!

Play.com are not a reliable source for release dates (very few websites are). Hope you learn the lesson for next time, don't get your hopes up.

Yeah they do - But 7 month delays when the only official comment released on thsi site said the game would come out in April on the UK Wii and its out in the US since 2008 and its out in the UK on the PS3 and 360 already !!

The new Dragonology book for my kid was delayed a YEAR!!! Did I go on their website and complain? Nope, why? It does no good.

This method of public complaining does nothing but start silly tag wars and create more negative energy and dogpiling than anything else.

Import what you want or wait.

I have seen these threads before, I know where they will go.

Your book analogy doesn't match up at all because Rock Band 2 has already been finished and published; it's just not available to anyone outside of the U.S. (okay so there's a conversion issue but why is it taking so much longer for the Wii than the other consoles?)

Additionally unlike books importing is pointless because the console is region locked and if one unofficially unlocks their console there is no way to access DLC.

It doesn't really matter if this thread goes anywhere; people rant on forums for many reasons and this is a far more valid one than others I've seen. People are annoyed at delays but that lack of any information for those delays for people outside of the U.S. is frustrating.

Thanks for the update. I wonder what technical issues exist that are particular to Europe? Network infrastructure?

Btw the guy who created, the now locked, thread about RB: Country had a valid point. He already look at the announcement and there was a distinct lack of information regarding release outside of the U.S.
