i have a ps2 and i read that the ps2 isnt getting rock band the beatles. i was really excited when i heard rock band was makin a beatles edition of the game but now im mad cuz they arent makin it for ps2. So why is ps2 being left out?

You shouldn't really be mad at this. PS2 support has to end sooner or later. You should really think about upgrading.

It's an old console and you should upgrade? Just buy a used PS3 and use your old RB gear or do without. I know the Wii version has a couple of cutbacks going for it in terms of graphics, so image the craptacularness (yes, it's an awesome word) of a PS2 version.

This. They've gotten to the point where the sales of ps2 games don't make economically sense for a developer there size to make a ps2 version for the game and instruments.

Because it is a last generation gaming system and would probably cost more money to make than it's worth. Face it, there aren't that many people out there who haven't upgraded to one of the newer systems. Additionally, we don't know what kind of deal HMX made with Apple Corp in order for them to be able to make the game. It may have included some sort of clause that mandated downloadable content. This wouldn't be feasible with the PS2.

If the Beatles game is really that big a deal to you, go out and buy a new system to play it on. You can get them for relatively cheap anymore if you know where to look.

Combination of old hardware being phased out and probably not capable of the graphics and effects required.

The PS2 games probably also don't sell well enough for the price point wanted for the game. $59.99 makes it the most expensive Wii game only ever.

i should but i dont really want a used one. and by the time i save up enough money for a ps3 somethin new and better will be out
