True, there are a handful of cover songs in the DLC available, but I would imagine that acquiring the non-cover tunes would avoid the permissions and rights and whathaveyou that comes along with getting cover tunes. It's not like I wouldn't love to have "Gump," "Couch Potato," "Eat It," "Yoda," or any other signature Weird Al cover...it's just that those might be a little too difficult to get into the game. So if a pack would appear that was sans cover tunes, then I wouldn't be disappointed because A) I didn't hold my breath expecting it to be exclusively covers, and B) any Weird Al is good Weird Al in my book. If a pack was released that was full of covers, though, then I'd be totally surprised and buy it just as quickly.
Got to have a jones for this, and a jones for that, 'cause runnin' with the Jones', boy, just ain't where it's at!

I can support this movement wholeheartedly.
    Does this signature annoy you?

Ok HMX it's been close to a year now, WE WANT "WEIRD AL"! please
I'll buy any song you put on RB as long as "Weird Al" is in it. You've given us Cartman, Spongebob, Jonathan Coulton, MC Frontalot, Paul and Storm, Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld, and Tenacious D for crying out loud! Please don't leave out a comedic musical genius out of your game when he has SOOOOO many songs to offer. I mean he's made as many in-canon albums as The Beatles and is still going strong making songs with a supposed new album out this year. He was also nominated for a grammy for an EP! Not even a full album release it was just FIVE singles! I know I'm just an over-obsessed fan but please HMX make it happen soon Especially with RB3 coming out this year (which I will pre-order)

I would absolutely love to get "Weird Al" in Rock Band, and I will instantly buy any song of his they release as DLC. As great as some of his parodies would be, I'd love to see many of his originals in the game. I think such songs as Albuquerque, Genius in France, I'll Sue Ya, Frank's 2000" TV, Your Horoscope for Today, When I Was Your Age, and Hardware Store (this one would have to have harmonies utilized ) would be great additions into Rock Band.

Well now may be your chance to let HMX know how much you want Weird Al in Rock Band. There's a survey about what the next band centric game could be with a fill in your own artist question. I of course put Weird Al and I urge the rest of you fans to do the same. Here's the link: http://www.rockband.com/forums/showt...59#post3690559

I wholeheartedly endorse this product or service.

p.s. "Craigslist" would be terrific, not only for its gameplay, but for the numerous deaths by apoplexy it would cause among aging Doors fanatics.
