Wow, "Simpsons" fanboys who let "South Park" tell them what to think!

*is this a slow clap moment*

Seriously, I grew up with "The Simpsons" (my parents even attempted to ground me from watching the show as I got older "because Bart is a bad influence", of course, I still watched it without them knowing). Oh, and as a kid, I had Simpsons bedsheets and Simpsons toys (with plush bodies and plastic heads).

I can at least admit that "Family Guy" manages to raise more than a few chuckles from me and that it is a show I like tuning into. Both are good shows, and a part of my Sunday ritual.

May 20th, 2012: 4 long years since HMX released "Hysteria" by Muse. The wait for more Muse DLC has to end at some point, right?

While I like both, classic Simpsons episodes are so much better than Family Guy, even when Family Guy was at its funniest. Newer Family Guy episodes barely make me laugh anymore, I enjoy them, but they just aren't as funny as they used to be. Then again, newer Simpsons episodes (from what I've seen anyway) aren't really funny either.

I voted True, but only based on around Season 3, 4, 5 etc. of The Simpsons
In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 for DLC. Please?

Family Guy, the Simpsons was always entertaining to watch, but i never laughed out loud to the Simpsons. Family Guy constantly makes me lol.

I rarely find The Simpsons funny... Family Guy all the way.

The Simpsons right now is better than Family Guy ever was. TRUE (although South Park beats both).

EDIT: Crap... I somehow mis-read the question and voted false when I meant to vote true.

    Absolutely true, in my opinion...

Simpsons is such a smarter show, and in my opinion, much funnier. I like Family Guy a bit, though (well, the earlier seasons).

South Park didn't invent those criticisms... they had been around since Family Guy's first season. South Park just brought it to a wider attention.

I can see why a writer would dislike Family Guy. It's definitely funny, but relies on toilet humor and random gags way more than any other sitcom.
