The Raging Sun and A Sunset Panorama are both really good.

I laughed pretty hard at the first page of this thread. Didn't read the next few so maybe this has been covered but I suspect PiL were considered an early post-punk band.

I'm going to check out the recommendations in the OP, though I don't care for a lot of what is now labelled post-rock. GY!BE bores me as does sigur ros and EITS. Talk Talk is pretty much the best stuff ever though and I'd like to find more like that.

Is the "Laura" recommended in the OP the Australian band? I've seen them live, not bad at all. On that note for those who like Battles I'd recommend an Aussie band called Pivot, saw them as supports for Battles and they put on a good show. I don't know what their recent work is like though, I hear they changed style a bit.

Seconding the recommendation of **** Buttons from previous pages, Street Horrrsing was one of my favourite albums of last year.

A few personal post-rock highlights that hopefully won't bore you to tears:

    Tortoise - TNT
    Slint - Spiderland
    Bark Psychosis - Text
Flying Saucer Attack - self-titled (this has heavy shoegaze influence too)
Disco Inferno - D.I. Go Pop

These are on the more interesting side of post-rock, so hopefully they don't bore you to death. I used to get bored of GY!BE myself, but after a few listens finally it grew on me. Explosions in the Sky, however... that's a different story entirely.
Would you pay for music by Beck?
    Maybe.
What if you heard he owned a plane made of gold?
    Sure.
Good, because he needs the money.

They also mentioned the Shins. I think I saw something about it a joke directed towards one of the cast members who liked them or something.

I heard Mogwai at All Points West, and they put on a great show. Other than the album mentioned in the OP, anything else worth checking out by them? I really don't listen to post-rock much, but it's something I'd like to get into more.

Check out their debut Mogwai Young Team. That's always been my favorite. Also, I think I've posted a few lists of good albums in this thread somewhere, I'll go dig those posts up for you:

From Monument to Masses - On Little Known Frequencies
    Jakob - Solace
Tortoise - TNT (last.fm didn't have it, but it's absolutely essential as well)
Envy - Insomniac Doze (cool Japanese post-rock/screamo)
Ahkmed - Distance (again, couldn't find a link, but it's not too hard to find a download)

I suggest you give these bands a listen.

If I could only listen to two post-rock albums, though, they would be Talk Talk's Laughing Stock and Spirit of Eden. I believe they're streamable on last.fm, if you're so inclined.
