i'm a pretty big fan, most of my favorites being from the constellation records camp (GYBE, a silver mt zion, do make say think, etc.).

public image ltd are associated with being one of the early post-punk bands, not post-rock.

i've got that moving mountains album... it's got some pretty good tunes on it.

you should post some early post-rock in here, such as slint, talk talk, and disco inferno...
also, it would be a crime to not include some of the chicago bands like tortoise or gastr del sol.

awesome!! i'm going to see the at the end of the month

yeah, i'll add more later, if you want to recommend a talk talk song, because i haven't heard much by them, go for it.

i've only recently been getting more and more into Post Rock and i think creating a thread like this will help me and others "appreciate" (i feel like i'm using that word too much) the genre more.

Lesson #1: Never try to out-obscure afterstasis.
Would you pay for music by Beck?
    Maybe.
What if you heard he owned a plane made of gold?
    Sure.
Good, because he needs the money.

i can help... i've been listening to this stuff for a little over a decade.

as for talk talk i'd go for either ascension day or after the flood, though almost anything from the last two LP's would work beautifully.
